Richard Waddell
Dave Ramsey Certified Counselor
Workplace Trainer
In
1991, Richard started his professional career with
Lenscrafters, Inc. as a lab technician. While at
Lenscrafters, he was a lab manager for nine years and was
responsible for renovating both, the lab and the team
dynamics within the stores. His love for helping people
flourished in 1996, when he was able to travel overseas with
the “Gift of Sight” program, the non-profit foundation
responsible for distributing used eyeglasses in developing
countries around the world. Richard helped to distribute
over a hundred thousand pairs of eyeglasses while attending
six international missions to the countries of Bangladesh,
Chile, Peru, and the Philippines, as either a team member or
leader. This experience helped shape his life in the future.
Richard has been in the optical industry for more than
eighteen years now. He is currently serving as an optical
lab technician and trainer at Diversified Ophthalmics, Inc.,
one of the top 25 privately held companies in Cincinnati,
Ohio. During his time with Diversified Ophthalmics, Inc., he
discovered his true calling as a trainer, a coach, and
ultimately a Dave Ramsey Certified Counselor and Certified
Workplace Trainer, for the Financial Peace University
Workplace Edition, to both, individuals and teams.
Richard discovered his passion for helping others as a
financial Counselor after discovering Dave Ramsey and the
book “The Total Money Makeover”. Using the principles that
he learned, Richard along with his wife Lea, eliminated
their debt and started helping others to progress towards
financial peace. “Financial Peace University” has become a
stable part of Richards’ life. To date, he has led five
classes at his workplace and eight at his church, helping
hundreds of families on their road to financial freedom.
Richard has been married to his lovely wife, Lea, since the
year 2000. They currently reside just east of Cincinnati,
Ohio. They have three beautiful girls, Alyssa, Jessica, and
Chelsea. He primarily spends his free time with his family
and enjoys studying Kyusho Jitsu martial arts, as well as,
Mixed Martial Arts. Richard and Lea are very active in
Church, specifically in Pathway Ministries, where they serve
on the Benevolence Committee.
